Could you create and run a successful export food business? Do you have the creativity, drive and business experience to bring a new food product to the worldwide market? If so, we definitely want to hear from you.
Your big product might make you a serious player in the next generation of the Irish food sector. So, if you have an innovative food product that fills a new or previously unknown consumer need, this opportunity might just be for you.
Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc are working together to find and foster a new group of entrepreneurs. We’ve pooled our resources to make sure we support you and your vision in the most efficient way possible.
How can we help you?
Lend practical support
We’ll help you to validate your product. You will have access and immersion in all Bord Bia consumer research. You will undertake a visit to an overseas market in the process of developing and sense checking your idea.
You will have one to one mentoring from a Bord Bia consumer insight expert who will bring you through a recognised consumer validation process including consumer clinics both nationally and internationally.
Test the concept
We also provide you with the support to validate your product by providing access to Research and Development (R&D) expertise, pilot scale production facilities, food incubation units and product testing.
Examine the financing
Innovations can’t thrive without putting money behind them and sometimes investors think early-stage food businesses are risky propositions. Together, we’ll help you reduce their doubts by developing your business into a tried and tested, financially viable proposal.
